The Phyto

Phytoplankton is a single cell plant that is the basis of all other life forms on planet. Phytoplankton produces more oxygen than all plant life on earth and are vital in maintaining the earth’s atmosphere. In other words, phytoplankton is a type of food utilized by all filter feeding organisms such as clams, LPS, and SPS, coco worms, gorgonians, feather dusters, sponges, anemones, rotifers, corals and many other fiter feeders. Phyto serves as a great food source for your aquariums. Phytoplankton is free-floating, microscopic plankton that is found naturally in the oceans. 
 

There are several types of phytoplankton and we focus on 2 strands called Nanochloropsus and Tetraselmis. Phyto Lady phytoplankton must be refrigerated. Your bottle of Phyto Lady needs to be shaken every 3 days to resuspend the single cell plants. This will ensure the survival of this product for several months. Feed according to the amount of corals you have in the tank. Phyto Lady can be spot fed to the corals or to your tanks as a whole. You may need to increase the dosage for overstocked tanks.  Plankton organisms are the most abundant life form on earth and play a crucial role in the marine food chain. Without phytoplankton, there would be few living organisms on earth, and certainly no Great Barrier Reef.   We suggest turning off the protein skimmer before feeding. Please remember to turn protein skimmer back on.
